[Fringe/Revenge inspired] Unbelievable Love, All That Remains, The Power of Love

Three songs inspired by a couple of my favorite TV shows Fringe and Revenge...

Unbelievable, undeniable, when I'm close to you I feel powerful, I feel a surge of energy that gives my world reality...I belong with you but where do we belong if we're worlds apart, how can we join our hearts? But when I'm close to you I feel like I belong, I feel a surge of energy; could this be the love that conquers all? In your presence I'm empowered, I could jump from any tower, when you're near I'm not on the fringe, I'm not alone anymore; in your presence there is power, there is love in your embrace, I feel love, UNBELIEVABLE LOVE...Unbelievable, undeniable, our connection is something powerful, but what if we must give it up, saving the world means losing us, oh no, but could ours be the love that conquers all? Back in '07 I signed up for the RPM Challenge to write and publish 10 NEW songs in the 28 days of February. In this bonus episode I want to share some of that deadline-induced creative process followed by the end RESULT. All the accompanying tracks were sequenced in the Yamaha Motif ES.

Obviously, the next song had to be about getting OUT of that floppery rut, preferably to warmer environs if only trippymental, so (12:26) PACK UP A SUITCASE (15:51) for Isabella's 4th birthday in Jan 9 we went to Disney's m-i-c-k-e-y-m-o-u-SA in Orlando which then inspired (16:44) EYES OF A CHILD (19:43) SUMMER DREAMS in the midst of winter, this was Amy's song that year for her birthday on the 10th (23:54) warming up watching PBS Kids with my dogter Bailey the morning after the birthday party for Amy's aunt, (26:55) SUZANNE (30:58) Feb 2nd, 1st piano musings to tackle the RPM challenge set before me, with ideas for what would turn out to be #8 (31:23) HEART OF STONE; glad to report I'm still working on my pronunciation of "i-ron" (36:16) SERENDIPITY is Amy's favorite word and this song was a happy accident so it's a fitting description of the whole endeavor (39:33) THE MUSIC IN ME, tagged by some of the ideas that led to it.

My 40th Birthday/LABOR Day surprise party

Amy pulled it off, her surprise party for me was a total success and I was none the wiser as I entered the Carreño residence (1:18, "Another Day").
